The Old Inn — yes, it's an English pub, and yes, it's completely packed most evenings, and yes, the fish and chips are better than you'd expect. If you're travelling with people who need a pint of proper draught lager and a familiar face on the TV, this is the place. No judgement. It does exactly what it says.
Chill Bar Albir lives up to its name. Tucked just off the main strip, it has comfortable sofas outside, a long cocktail menu, and a regular rotation of acoustic live music on Thursday and Friday evenings in September. The mojitos are strong and the staff are friendly without being overbearing.

- Getting home: Taxis are readily available and cheap. The TRAM light rail from Altea runs until around midnight and stops near Albir — useful if you're heading to or from Benidorm.
